How Much Do You Need For You To Be Happy?

What for me constitutes a good life?” is a question I have been pondering of late. This came about after watching a five minute video from the wokesalaryman where he was sharing on how the statement “money does not buy happiness” actually means “money buys some form of happiness” and you have to get clear on how much YOUR happiness costs.

It led me to ask myself what is a good life? What makes me happy? And that led to … what for me constitutes a good life. The ultimate expression of life is not a paycheck. The ultimate expression of life is not a flashy sports car or a million dollars bank account or penthouse. The ultimate expression of life is living a good life.

But, what consitutes a good life?

I’m sure yours will differ from mine and it’ll change as we grow and with time! Currently, what constitutes a good life for me will be to stay with both my brothers. And that – is quite a tall order coming from somebody who LOVES and protects her space like a mama cat protects her kittens. It took me continual reflection on what is important to me.

And what struck me is that amidst the constant changes we’ll make? Some things will remain constant. Identify your non-negotiables and it helps you get clearer on what constitutes a good life!

Natural next course of action: putting a price tag to your good life! Need some help, comment “me” and let’s have a non-obligatory chat!

Personally realise when you increase your lifestyle too quickly? It is VERY tough to return back to what you had or experienced before which means: increase cost meaning you need more money for you to be happy, more money to retire happy.

Is that wrong? I think it’s more of whether it’s useful or not useful. I’m thankful now I’m more aware and mindful! How’s it going for you?
