Word is that our lives are a sum total of our choices – things we do, thoughts we have, words we say and the people we let into our lives. The ones we hold dear, the ones we outgrow and the ones we love and most importantly? The choices we make.
Choice to me outweighs destiny and fate. Choice is a commited decision you make; a verbalized decision set into motion via thoughts to then result in having.
Loving and living always came as easy as it left for me. It was always fundamentally a choice. A decision, a commitment. Yet the very moment that alters? A shift in a series of events occur and a phase ends as a new one begins … This year reminded me of one fundamental fact to loving. It is not in the holding on but the letting go that is both scariest and yet most fulfilling.
It is about standing right at the pinnacle and stepping off the very edge. It is freefall. It is letting go one finger at a time to the support that you believe to support you through everything.
Yet ironically it is also the very hardest point. Nothing lasts forever. Thought I had a grasp on it but yet the very moment of now that is crystallized forever never ever truly seems adequate ..
Always hungry for another moment, greedy for somemore. How easy it is to get caught up into what you have and lose sight of appreciation. How easy it is to get caught up into taking for granted. How easy it is to lose it as easily as you had it …
Maybe we were all meant to hurt and lose things and people that matter to us. If only to teach us that you never know a good thing until it’s gone.
